What is Functional Testing?
Functional Testing is a type of testing which verifies the functionality of the application against the requirements and the output of the application.
Each functionality is usually consist of black box testing which means the tester will not concern about code. The focus of the test is to provide appropriate input, verify the output and comparing the actual results with the expected results.
Functional Testing involves checking of User Interface, Database, Security, API and the functionality of the application under test. This testing will be done either manually or using automated test tools base on the situation.
